School Highlights
Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California
BIA Law Enforcement, BIA Wildland Fire Service, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Fire Service and more than 20 other federal, state and local public service agencies visited Sherman Indian High School’s Public Service Career Day on March 28, 2025. BIA Assistant Deputy Director Christopher Lorenz and Sherman CTE Public Service Instructor David Heard led the program. The U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy represented the United States Armed Forces. More than 200 Sherman students and staff enjoyed the public service community outreach and education program, which introduced many career opportunities for the Sherman students.
